Fix Attention on Annie Duke

Annie Duke might not have captured her 1st WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most powerful poker competitors around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-awaited WSOP win came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker go crazy following a big win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mom" to her 4 children. She hails from New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you don’t accept that, check out her sibling, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught her the best method to play the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has earned her share of challenging matches, including knocking out Howard a few times on several occasions.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet and actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to develop his techniques and become a power player at the poker table.

You might just catch Annie at the Bellagio, you will see her on TV and you might just even play with her in an internet poker game, but don’t bank on a simple win. Unless you’re a champion-in-the-making, you will not beat her. However, it is likely to be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
