I have been betting poker now for about five years, I have wagered cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various forms of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so beautifully called, card on head casino game. I used to usually win, whatever casino game we were wagering and although I liked to call it skill, it was extremely tough to justify considering the randomness of the games we were betting, so I was over joyed to accept I was having a prolonged run of luck.
Then came Poker, or far more importantly Texas holdem Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card players in the 60’s and since developed into one of the biggest card phenomena ever witnessed. Poker is totally the new black, it can be uber awesome with a lot of of the world’s leading celebs racing to have their name associated with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels nowadays and it is possible to not escape from poker, and naturally there is the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all combined into one for each and every individual player.
So with all of this fresh discovered recognition, with so quite a few Television shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves loaded up with quality material written by the leading minds on poker, when are men and women going to learn that this casino game is all about position!?
Perhaps I should not receive so worked up about this, after all the additional persons who wrestle with the delicate tactics and strategies necessary for succeeding consistently at Holdem, the much better it’s for everyone else, correct? I mean, if they can not be bothered to read all of the obtainable details about why position is so crucial, why really should we bother? We need to just be glad there is another fish at the table!
It is true, we must not encourage idleness with advice and guide. On the other hand, I liken this to a helpful casino game of football. Naturally the levels aren’t so good, but when you see a gambler having difficulties, you help them, offer them several advice, ultimately showing them a method to love, love and be thankful for the casino game as much as you.
